MISSION STATEMENT
My mission with the “Asexual Memes” brand is to EDUCATE and UPLIFT people who are questioning their sexuality. I was a late-in-life asexual — meaning I only figured out I was ace between the ages of 26 and 27. I hope to MAKE ASEXUALITY EDUCATION ACCESSIBLE to young people much earlier in their lives — and to those fellow late-in-life asexuals like myself, as well — so that anyone who feels othered by compulsory heterosexuality but doesn't quite feel gay, bi, or pan can hopefully UNDERSTAND THEMSELVES a little bit better. And while we're at it, why not HAVE SOME FUN?

Sex has held me back my entire life. I always dreaded that aspect of relationships and often avoided dating because I knew that was going to come up, and I didn't have an explanation for why I wasn't interested. When you spend your whole life thinking you're the only person on Earth who doesn't want sex, you hide it. You internalize shame. You don't seek further information or other likeminded folk because you assume there just aren't any. And you resign yourself to die alone with your twelve cats because honestly that actually sounds kind of nice up until the part where they eat your dead body.
